Key Considerations:
Ensure ceilings are set at a suitable height according to the type of activity. Simple lighting rigs may be required, therefore allow for additional height in these cases.
Allowances should be made for raised batten & cradle dance flooring.
Wall bars can be portable, maintaining flexibility in multi-function spaces.
Ensure walls, floors and ceilings are highly acoustically insulated.
Views into the space should be avoided to maintain privacy. High level windows allow flexibility for the location of mirrors etc.
Reverberation times within the studios should be considered and mitigation undertaken where required.
Video playback facilities can be a useful teaching aid.
