Acquisition and Disposal

The college will need to appraise the feasibility of disposing of any excess spare/unused accommodation/land so as to generate capital to assist with the funding of the project and to reduce its overall maintenance costs. In addition the college may also need to appraise the availability of an alternative site where it could re-locate; as this might be the most attractive option due to minimal disruption caused as a result. A chartered surveyor would need to be appointed to undertake a site search and any potential valuation of site acquisition or disposal.
